CAB Monthly Meeting: On-site at the Apiary of Story Woods Farm

On-Site! Member Carmen Story is graciously hosting us at Story Woods Farm, 625 Central Nassau Road, Nassau, NY 12062 on July 13th at 6:00pm. (One hour earlier than we usually meet!)

• We will be looking at the weakest hive in the apiary to see if we can find a cause for their slow build since their establishment as a split.
• We’ll discuss the build of the fence to keep out the bears!
• We’ll have refreshments!
• We’ll identify our last big nectar flow contributor before the mid-summer dearth.
• We’ll also have a few trivia questions with a handful of prizes.

Please bring a chair, your protective gear if you want to have a look at the hive (6pm inspections are not typically advised) and your thinking cap for a chance to win a prize.

If you don’t mind a short walk, please park in the upper orchard (you’ll know what I’m talking about when you get there). There will also be parking closer to the apiary and where we will be gathering.

Meeting is open to the public. We hope you will become a Member of CAB to stay up-to-date and to support our program of public outreach and education. Annual dues are only $10 per person or $15 per Household! We look forward to meeting you!
