Mission

CAB's mission is to further the general knowledge and success of members and member beekeepers, and, to educate the public about the beneficial aspects of honeybees.

Welcome! Have you ever considered keeping bees? Want to learn more?

Let honeybees be another window through which you enjoy the natural world. Whether your interest is in fauna, flora, or just enjoying watching a community work cooperatively in peace and harmony the honeybee is a fascinating animal to get to know better. We are open to all!  Join as an individual, family or with friends! You'll meet some delightful, friendly, knowledgeable people with interests and questions just like yours. We hope to see you soon, in person or online!

Capital Area Beekeepers (CAB) is a club that offers anyone interested in honeybees a local opportunity to meet, learn, teach, hear from experts, share successes (or losses) and enjoy all aspects of beekeeping, rearing, harvesting honey and making honeybee-related products.

  • Everyone is invited to enjoy all the resources on CAB’s website!
  • Please consider joining CAB as a member, either as an individual or household.
  • CAB meets on the 2nd Wednesday of every month except December.
  • See CAB's calendar for upcoming meetings and topics.
